Are you addressing the Hashi's by being strictly gluten free and supplementing with selenium, as suggested in your previous thread.
How is your folate, ferritin and Vit D now?
I take a combination of Levo and T3 and I weigh more now that before I started on T3 (I'm not massively overweight but could do with losing the 3/4 stone I've put on) and on paper my results look good, however, I don't feel as good as my results make out!
I wouldn't be able to function with FT4 that low, but we all feel good in different places.
thank you for your reply. I am going gluten free and take all the supplements and at the level that you suggested so feel I am doing well on those. Do you think I should be taking additional T4? Is that what is measured by the Free Thyroxine ? I have been so busy concentrating on the free T3 level that I have rather ignored the T4 level. I have put on 3 stones since the T3 was withdrawn and since re starting T3 have lost one stone, with two more to go. Silver Fox suggests that I could perhaps increase the T3 a little. Maybe I should do that and will ask her as to how much she thinks I can raise the level. Ann
We're all different in what we need to take and where our levels need to be for us to feel best. All I can say is that I couldn't function with FT4 that low and I do need my FT3 at the higher end of the range.
Yes, there is room to increase the FT3 result, but when taking a combination of Levo and T3 we need to do a fair bit of tweaking to find where we feel best.
