Sammy-H,
Change your endo and write a letter of complaint to his/her head of dept. You are very undermedicated to have TSH 6.7 and FT4 below range.
The goal of Levothyroxine is to restore the patient to euthyroid status. For most patients that will be when TSH is 0.2 - 1.0 with FT4 in the upper range. FT4 needs to be in the upper range in order that sufficient T3 is converted. Read Treatment Options in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_... Email dionne.fulcher@thyroiduk.org if you would like a copy of the Pulse article to show your end or GP.
Your Endo needs to be struck off!
Endo is almost certainly a diabetes specialist who knows nothing about the thyroid.
Needless to say, endo is wrong. You need a dose increase!
Your endo is obviously not a thyroid specialist. Unless you feel really well, you severly undermedicated. Most people need free T4 (and free T3) in the top quarter of the range - yours is under range! - and TSH wherever it ends up to allow that (usually under 1)
Sorry to say but you are not.
