Hi could someone please pm me a source of T3 since previous results have shown I need it and I have the DIO2 gene?

Thankyou

TSH 1.20 (0.2 - 4.2)

Free T4 19.3 (12 - 22)

Free T3 4.0 (3.1 - 6.8)

Was taking 175mcg levothyroxine at the time

Zara1213 You simply must address the dire vitamin and mineral levels and the Hashi's mentioned in your previous post. If you don't then no thyroid hormone is going to work, whether you add T3 or not.

I didn't get around to posting this yesterday as I wasn't on my PC for the link, but Hashi's causes gut/absorption problems and trashes nutrient levels, which has obviously happened to you, along with the removal of your T3. For thyroid hormone to work, all nutrients need to be optimal. For nutrients to be absorbed, you need to address your malabsorption. Have just seen your results on the PAS Forum for B12 - Folate - VitD and Ferritin. They are absolutely DIRE and need immediate treatment. Please click onto SeasideSusie then CLICK onto her REPLIES to read her amazing advice given to others with horrendous results like yours. Better than anything you will learn from your GP.

Your Thyroid hormones will not work well in your body with those poor results - B12 needs to over 500 - Folate and Ferritin mid-range and VitD around 100. You have a long way to go. I appreciate you have the gene issue - but I feel the low vits and minerals contribute a bigger issue with your thyroid ....

You must be feeling unwell - hope things improve for you soon. Restoring good levels of vitamins and minerals does take time - so patience is required :-)

Zara1213 Have you paid for the DIO2 gene test ? Have you got a copy of the results? If you have not, then you do not know for certain that you have a faulty DIO2 thyroid gene
