Grave disease but not much symptoms

Hi, this is my blood test result few days ago.

Thyroxine , free : 46.8 ( ref range : 11.8 - 24.6 )

TSH : <0.0005 ( ref range : 0.270 - 4.200 )

I’m wondering if it’s normal to not have symptoms and have grave disease . These are the symptoms I have currently :

- major depression ( I’m on anti-depressant )

- insomnia ( I’m on medication )

- enlarge goiter

I do have intolerance to heat but it’s not that bad . I don’t have hand tremors and my heart palpitations are still bearable.

Recently I’m having shortness of breath and weakness in my legs. Still, it’s not that bad.

But other than this, I feel completely fine.

If I’m not bother by all those symptoms , does this mean I don’t have to seek treatment ?

No Graves is very dangerous. It can damage your organs.

GP should refer you to endocrinologist urgently, and give medication while you wait too

No, you definitely need treatment and if you don’t feel bad at the moment I’m sure you will before long.

I used to think the reason I couldn’t get up off the ground when I was taking close ups of fungi was because I had too much stuff in my back pack. Then I discovered my thigh muscles were affected by my overactive thyroid.

Do you know if you have antibodies? If you have you’ve got Graves Disease.

You need to be seen by an endocrinologist - one who specialises in thyroid problems and not one who specialises in diabetes.

Why would you not want to be treated and get well ?
