Test results from Medi save, I would appreciate some advice before going to see my gp.

Below are the results from my recent blood test. I have a major problem losing weight (have done since having children so did other female members of my family [maternal side]).

The results, according to their doctor, look like they are within normal range but I feel so awful.

I have PA and have injections at my surgery every 6 weeks and my husband injects me twice a week, but symptoms are still there. My GP wanted to stop the injections as my level of B12 was high and I didn't have PA anymore, also, too much B12 is toxic.

I understand that there are cross over symptoms between PA and under active thyroid. I have also had hyperparathyroidism and a tumour removed last year, symptoms of this are similar to PA and hypothyroidism.

When having scans for hyperparathyroidism I was told that I had nodules on my thyroid. For the last two weeks I have a thump in my throat that I can feel all the time (I have had a virus and then a cold since coming back from Spain on 26th October but never had this lump before). I've had my gall bladder removed as I had galloping gall stones - would rather have had another set of twins than go through that again!

I just feel like c**p all the time. I could sleep for England, am exhausted all the time, memory is rubbish, I fall over and bump into things as a hobby, cannot walk straight without looking at the floor, suffering from depression, have pins and needles in hands. Plus many more.

Any advice from anyone would be most helpful. Thank you for reading x

I can't really speak for the results you have because I'm newish to being Hypo myself but have you had your vitamin D level tested yet? I just got diagnosed as severely deficient in Vit D and the exhaustion, depression and memory issues can all be caused by vit D deficiency along with muscle pains. I don't get the tingling but have watched YouTube clips of people with deficiency desribe those too. Because you have had other deficiency issues it might be worth checking.

Would agree with AngieAsh its very important to test vitamin D

Also folate. As you inject for low B12, it's recommended to at least supplement folate, but a good vitamin B complex would possibly be better to improve all the B vitamins

Ferritin also needs testing. Needs to be half way in range

Your FT4 looks very low and FT3 fairly low

Your antibodies are negative, but that doesn't necessarily mean you don't have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's). Apparently about 20% with Hashimoto's never have raised antibodies. Your scan suggests Hashimoto's

Changing to a strictly gluten free diet may help reduce symptoms.

Low B12 suggests poor gut function and or low stomach acid

Lots with hypothyroidism suffer low stomach acid

Lots of posts on here about how to improve with Apple cider vinegar or Betaine HCL

Improving low vitamins and going gluten free and other gut healing options should improve symptoms

You may find TSH rises as result and getting your thyroid treated might be easier.

Result needs to be around 100nmol

Also folate level

If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 3-5 days before any blood tests, as biotin can falsely affect test results

Ferritin also needs testing. Needs to be half way in range

Eating liver once a week will help improve

Your FT4 looks very low and FT3 fairly low

But TSH is low and most GP's and endo's only look at that

Blood test should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting, this gives highest TSH
