I'm not tech minded, but if anyone could tell how to message privately on this forum about where to source T3, I'd be most grateful

It is the other members who will PM you with the info - once you have asked the question !

Thanks Marz

Makes sense now, as in the words of Homer Simpson "duh" 🙂

Marz could you recommend any T3 brands for me?

Thank you

Paula101,

If you post your recent thyroid results and ranges and say how much Levothyroxine you are taking members will advise how much T3 to add.

Regarding using T3 here are my thyroid results:-

TSH H 6.15 0.27 - 4.20

T4 total 79.1 64.5 - 142.0

Free T4 12.80 12 - 22

Free T3 4.46 3.1 - 6.8

TPO ab 206.0 <34

TgAb 422 <155

I don't take Levo, (just had a thought, is Levo T3?)

I'm a Dr Barry Peatfield patient and have been on Nutri Adrenal Extra & Nutri Thyroid. Just received an order of these & been on 1 NAX for last couple of days, NT to follow in 7/10 days.

1 NAX tablet contains 15mg bovine pituitary & 200mg bovine adrenal. It's contains a host of Vits & mins.

1 NT tablet contains 140mg bovine thyroid glandular (hormone free)

I'm on an enjoyable learning journey & I'm really interested in your thoughts

Many thanks & much appreciated

Paula101,

Has your GP seen the results? TSH is over range and FT4 is low in range and thyroid antibodies are positive for autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's). It is likely your GP would prescribe Levothyroxine instead of you self medicating T3. I would recommend starting with Levothyroxine rather than T3.

There is no cure for Hashimoto's which causes 90% of hypothyroidism. Levothyroxine treatment is for the low thyroid levels it causes. Many people have found that 100% gluten-free diet is helpful in reducing Hashi flares, symptoms and eventually antibodies.

I know Dr. P. recommends NutriThyroid but it doesn't state how much, if any, active hormone content it contains so is difficult to advise how much to take. You are certainly not taking enough to have TSH >6.0.

Thank you Clutter, I'll take a look at the sites you highlighted.

I must admit I've never seen a GP about all of this, just Dr P. I didn't have the strength for a battle with my old GP. Maybe I will try new GP.

Much appreciated

Paula101,

If Gp isn't helpful write a post asking where you can obtain Levothyroxine without prescription.
