Symptoms - bladder infections, hard stool, tiredness, feeling cold, heavy periods, hair loss, weight gain, cramps, tiredness, puffy eyes and face, indigestion, goitre, difficulty swallowing, pale skin, cold hands and feet, paraesthesia, joint pain.

Looks like you've got Hashi's, for your levels to change like that. 5.3 is over-range for a TSH. You should now wait about three months for a confirmation test, and as for your TPO antibodies to be tested at the next test. If you have high antibodies and your TSH is still over-range - or even higher - then your doctor should start you on thyroid hormone replacement.
