I have pernicious anaemia and I have reason to believe I have a misbehaving thyroid! Please see below results. Both tests done at the same time and fasting. Thanks for reading.

Symptoms - bladder infections, hard stool, tiredness, feeling cold, heavy periods, hair loss, weight gain, cramps, tiredness, puffy eyes and face, indigestion, goitre, difficulty swallowing, pale skin, cold hands and feet, paraesthesia, joint pain.

Looks like you've got Hashi's, for your levels to change like that. 5.3 is over-range for a TSH. You should now wait about three months for a confirmation test, and as for your TPO antibodies to be tested at the next test. If you have high antibodies and your TSH is still over-range - or even higher - then your doctor should start you on thyroid hormone replacement.

Also get vitamin D, Folate and ferritin checked

What's your most recent B12 result?

Do you supplement Folate or vitamin B complex as well?

B12 before injection was 241 (190 - 900)

Ferritin 21 (30 - 400)

Folate 2.0 (2.5 - 19.5)

Vitamin D 28.8 (25 - 50 deficiency. Supplementation is indicated)

So are you being prescribed anything to improve ferritin or folate by GP

Has B12 been retested

How often are your injections?

Vitamin D you will need to supplement

GP can only prescribe 800iu

You are likely need at least 3000iu, possibly 5000iu

No folate and no B complex

GP should have prescribed folic acid

But you will need to get your own B complex (one with folate in ideally not folic acid )
