I would say, yes, you do. You are hypo because you have a conversion problem. Your TSH is too high - although not over-range, so your doctor will ignore it - your FT4 is high-ish, but your FT3 is low-ish, causing the high TSH. It is just slightly below mid-range. But, as everything is in-range, your doctor is not likely to diagnose you.
Have you had your antibodies tested? Are you working on optimising your nutrients?
Thx Grey Goose my vitamins/minerals are pretty dire & im working on those (doc gave high dose vit d several months ago) docs never test antibodys do u think I should get it done privately?
Well, that could be part of the problem, then. Low nutrients affecting conversion.
You're not on a low-calorie diet, by any chance, are you?
I would say that if you can, it would be a good idea to get those antibodies tested - TPO and Tg - given the level of your TSH and your poor conversion. Could be the missing part of the puzzle.
Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have money off offers.
All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. This gives highest TSH and most consistent results
Thank you yes I’m ordering my kit today! Fed up of been fobbed off with docs been feeling this way for nearly a year now! Thanks for all your replies lovely people xx
