Could be an infection-conjunctivitis. Better see your doctor.

Agree with silver fox, that was going to be my #1 possibility. My 2nd suggestion is to check your blood pressure (BP). BP and cortisol vary during the day, my BP is at a max about tea time whereas my cortisol is max at mid afternoon. Hopefully you will find a doc who can pull all of that together - btw, better conjunctivitis than BP.

This could be dry eyes. However, go to the optician and be tested for glaucoma.

I have had this since being diagnosed as hypothyroid. I was extensively tested for glaucoma, I don't have it but am now under the hospital eye dept for monitoring. I never had these issues before this diagnosis.

Sounds like dry eyes if everything else has been eliminated. Dry eyes are much worse than you would imagine, when you say ‘dry eyes’ to people it means nothing, when you have them it is awful.

Get yourself some good preservative free - that’s important - eyedrops and keep putting them in regularly throughout the day and evening. some people like to use a really ‘gunky’ ointment at night but I don’t bother.

You can buy an eye bag to put in the microwave for a few seconds to heat up then put it over your eyes - loads to choose from but I’m using a plastic one filled with blue beads because it is easy to wash and keep clean.

I agree I had dry eyes and they got worse as the day goes on. Yes, get a prescription for eye drops. I now only use them occasionally. They felt and looked awful.

Hi May be you need a blood test for sugar?

I use eye drops & lanolin ointment. Previous GP diagnosed blepharitis, but it was just another hypo symptom.

Yes the opticians told me I had dry eyes. It's just flared up over the past month. And yes ann mine get worse as day goes on

People tend not to realise that you have to keep putting the drops in regularly throughout the day, not just morning and night and maybe once in between, you’ve got to do it throughout the day and that you have to keep putting the drops in even when your eyes stop feeling dry.

That’s where I fall down so I see-saw between my eyes feeling good and my eyes feeling terrible, it’s my own fault for being lazy about it though.

Once you’ve got dry eyes I’m afraid you’ve got them forever, you can’t really stop the drops.

Do you have recent lab results with your FT3 and FT4 TSH ? For me when I was under dosed I had the same symptoms as yourself . Are you also supplementing with nutrients ?

Soph43 , When I go for lab work I don't take anything except drink water . Water you can drink as much as you want and need . Try to see if you can run labs first thing in the morning . GOOD LUCK !!!!!!

The day prior to testing you can dose with your meds . I'm speaking about the day of the lab tests . Some stop 12 hours prior to running labs and some stop 24 hours to running labs . You will need to decide for yourself which category works for you .
