This has been going on for a while now. Went to drs few weeks back and stumped him I was given strong antihistamines and steroid cream

It's a throbbing burning it, sometimes hot to touch

It moves from one had to the other and can effect thumb, fingers or palm

Hi Mandy,

do you get itchy little blisters as well?

Yes I do but on my feet. They come in single or small clusters for a couple of days then dries up and disappear. Is yours the same. My GP has totally ignored this!

Take a look at the link in my reply to Mandy to see if it is the same as you are experiencing.

I asked about the blisters because I had Pompholyx, and you get blisters with it and they itch like crazy.

It may not be the same as you have, take a look at the link and see what you think.

I have had this since May. Saw Dermatologist and he said there is a preservative in a lot of creams, cosmetics and toiletries that can cause a reaction in some people and it cause the Pompholyx, eczema and dermatitis.

They call it Methylisothiazolinone (MI for short)

Have a look at the link.

Can it be a sort of contact dermatitis to something you carry in one hand or the other? It would make sense that when one hand is itchy and red, you carry this thing in the other hand. Then that one gets itchy while the other one recovers.

For anyone reading this..i get this and its reccurent cellulitus.. Rare in hands but fluxocillin best treatment and for any itching i get or swelling i use sock bandage for slight pressure to relieve itch and reduce fluid build up.. Hope this helps
