I wrote a few weeks back regarding swollen eyelids and not being able to open eyelids plus I have had double vision for 2 years been under optomology since May last year the blood test came back negative but they are now referring me to a Nuerologist as they said the test isn't 100 per cent. All they can offer me at the moment is Botox for the double vision which I have turned down as i feel eyelids that don't open won't be helped by botox! I'm now either going private or wait to see someone at Moorfields

Update on my MG test results
See someone at Moorfields. I think they have more expertise. Some Moorfield Clinics in Hospitals have walk-in centres.
Hi Shaws, it's 65 days for an appointment at Moorfields I have waited this long under optomology at my local hospital I need to see nuero optomologist so I will stick it out for Moorfields. I very much doubt me seeing a neurologist at the same hospital will be of any use I didn't think you could just go to Moorfields walk in centres as I've been under a hospital I'm asking for referral to Moorfields
As you've had no help locally, definitely Moorfields is the place. It is a pity it's such a long waiting list for you. My husband had a painful eye and local nurse in the local Walk-in Centre couldn't see anything and told him to go along to Moorfields Dept in the local hospital. It was the first time I knew that they had clinics elsewhere. Anyway the doctor saw him and removed something from his eye and husband was relieved.
I hope they are also able to solve your problem as it does sound quite painful and disabling. Anything aggravating eyes we want prompt attention.
