This episode is less than an hour and basically several men and women give their autoimmune stories. I don't think any had Hashimoto's but all had autoimmune conditions. Many symptoms were involved and the patients were almost immobile, there were rashes, choking and coughing spells, foot symptoms and lots of tears. The man who was anemic had no idea he had celiac but the anemia was the sign. A women in the UK told her journey and one unusual symptom was feeling an electrical shock when she bowed her head. Another woman (married to a doctor) had choking incidents that made her carry an epi-pen just in case.
There were no scientists or doctors involved so it was mainly human interest stories so I'll leave this link if any would enjoy watching it yourself. There were not many treatment methods mentioned except for the diet changes although they all seemed to be in remission. A mother and son told their situation which shows the possible genetic connection. One young man found his stuttering had improved along with his other symptoms. A lady overcame her flying phobia or nausea in high altitudes. One man omitted ALL grains, one woman gave up all dairy for thirty days and everything turned around. They seemed to become accustomed to the diet and didn't feel the sacrifices were asking too much in order to feel well.
