Probably because with such a low T3 and high antibodies, you're obviously going to have symptoms. The details are irrelevant at this point. First, he needs to get your TSH down to one, only then will symptoms tell if you're still hypo, or if the symptoms are due to something else.
That is far better than doctors who treat each symptom as an individual disease and give you tablets for it!
Sbecci - if he's not interested in symptoms, what is he interested in? Those results scream that you need a dose increase. Did you get one?
And your high antibodies confirm autoimmune thyroid disease aka Hashimoto's which is where antibodies attack and destroy the thyroid. I don't suppose your endo mentioned this, they're all so ruddy ignorant of thyroid disease and Hashi's (they're usually diabetes specialists, very few are thyroid specialists so know nothing about it although they pretend they do).
You can help reduce the antibodies by adopting a strict gluten free diet which has helped many members here. Gluten contains gliadin (a protein) which is thought to trigger autoimmune attacks so eliminating gluten can help reduce these attacks. You don't need to be gluten sensitive or have Coeliac disease for a gluten free diet to help.
Supplementing with selenium l-selenomethionine 200mcg daily can also help reduce the antibodies, as can keeping TSH suppressed.
If you have any vitamin and mineral results, please post them and say if you are supplementing and what dose. We need to see
Vit D
B12
Folate
Ferritin
Iron Panel
Full Blood Count
Hashi's and gut problems tend to go hand in hand and we often see low nutrient levels in hypo/Hashi's members. If you've not had them tested then ask for them to be done.
I would fire your Dr and hire a new Dr . If he doesn't understand how to dose with symptoms it's not a Dr you want to be treated by . That means that I wouldn't couldn't trust him with my thyroid care . Ask around for a Dr that understands lab results and respects your symptoms and knows what to do to make you feel OPTIMAL .
