Hi what supplements should you take if your ferritin and folate are on the low side

Supplements
If you can quote your blood test results with their reference ranges then it would allow people to make suggestions that might suit you better? Some deficiencies can be corrected with supplements but others are significant enough that you need to chat to a GP about loading doses (things like vitamin D, B12, sometimes an iron infusion) or whether the results suggest an absorption problem.
Sometimes, you need to not supplement something because you might have a problem elsewhere. E.g., if you have low B12 and folic acid, you initially only supplement B12 because starting to supplement folic acid as well can mask deficiencies for various reasons.
Do you have any test results that you can share?
Yes
B12 567
Vit D 73
Ferritin 81 (10-200)
I’m having folate done on next blood test. I’m taking vit D and a B complex
Thank you
Do you have reference ranges for those results (like for the ferritin)?
What dosages are you taking for the vitamin D, and how much B12 is in your B complex (and, just to check, does it contain biotin/B7)?
SeasideSusie 's replies have lots of suggestions about supplement products and dosages and even what to eat to maintain good vitamin and mineral levels. healthunlocked.com/user/sea...
If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 3-5 days before any blood tests, as biotin can falsely affect test results
