I have these symptoms at the moment and just wondered if anyone out there has this too?

I'm on 50mcg Actavis and bloods all come back 'within normal range'. I can't go higher as this brings on Hyper symptoms which are terrible. Some days feel ok some days feel yuk. All this started with the thyroxine supplements. I take the usual recommended supplements . Had a bp test at the pharmacy and it was high-170/100 -going to doc's next week to get a bp monitor as it could have been 'white coat syndrome'.

Has anyone experienced high bp alongside the host of symptoms connected with this condition? Any advice appreciated.

Many Thanks.

Yes, but not sure of cause. Don't think Actavis is the problem but low vitamin levels could be. Also gluten free and low carb diet has helped. Could it be to do with blood sugar levels? Could you get Hba1c level checked?

Get vitamin levels tested and don't supplement without blood tests.

This may or may not match your situation. Years ago I used a few different over-the-counter supplements here in the US and ended up hyperthyroid and in the ER with a fib. The docs made me stop the supplements and and would not prescribe any thyroid medication so over time TSH went up and up so my thyroid function was dropping and I experienced heart palpitations, heart racing at random times, tinnitus, off balance feeling and vertigo, and episodes of high BP...all the while the doctor telling me my thyroid was in the normal range when actually my thyroid function was dropping (TSH was just inside the upper limits of normal). High TSH = low thyroid function. Your doctor needs to be testing TSH, free T4 and free T3 and you need to get copies. So low thyroid function can cause these things as well as high thyroid function. Doctors didn't believe it was thyroid and screened me for phenochromasytoma which is a type of adrenal tumor. After going to an integrative doctor I learned that I also had low iron which can cause heart racing. So after being prescribed thyroid replacement and herbal iron the blood pressure came down and heart racing improved . I did discover however that I was getting episodes of atrial fibrillation which I still have. That condition is a whole different issue, but many who have it also have thyroid problems. To check out your heart racing you can get a monitor that can be used in conjunction with your smart phone from Kardia. I always get copies of my blood work now and recently had some of that off balance feeling return and my T3 was too low.

Thanks so much for your time-all well noted but sadly my GP here in Uk cutting back on testing for vit deficiency levels. Also only take basic thyroid function TSH.

I'll persevere and maybe look into private checking for various things. Was always reactive to anything which caused /exacerbated hypertension-even in my 20s.

Many Thanks.
