T3 with or without food?

Hi everyone can you please help me. I'm on 5mg of t3 twice daily with 75levo. I usually take my levo at night(which suits me better)

Endo said I should take t3 in the morning the. Early evening. Is t3 the same as levo with no food etc? He didn't mention much therefore I didn't think it was an issue??

He probably didn't mention much because he doesn't know! To be honest, I don't think much research has been done on it. But, I've noticed that the people on here that take it without food, do better than those that take it with food. So, better safe than sorry - especially as it's such a small dose - treat it as you would T4, and take it away from food and everything else.

Have you had any experience with taking t3 at night grey goose? Would be handier if I could take the other bit with the levo.. Endo said might keep me awake... Suppose trial and error too.

Kla88,

T3 at night has never kept me awake. Try it. Some people find it improves sleep.

I find it makes me sleepy!

On endo advice I take it 3 x daily - 10mcg 6am, 5mcg noon and 5mcg at 6pm - an hour before food or drink

Started initially just on 2 x 5mcg at 6am and 3pm
