Does a high FSH blood test result of 130.1 U/L mean I have a pituitary problem? I think I am well past the menopause but still have mainly mini flushes but occasionally major ones.

High FSH?
I think this article pretty well sums it up:
fertilityauthority.com/fert...
It seems that, in most cases, a high FSH simply means "decreased fertility".
Have your hot flushes at least decreased?
My flushes were quite bad a few years ago then were much less often & in intensity but now I think they are getting worse!
PS. I find what you write interesting as I started displaying symptoms of perimenopause about six months ago (irregular periods, hot flushes, night sweats). I have been doing a lot of reading on the subject, and although the average woman is said to suffer from those problems for 2-3 years, some women will have hot flushes for the rest of their lives...or at least well into their 70s. Terrified I belong to that category, I have been trying to figure out what causes a return to peri- or menopausal symptoms long after menopause. From what I gather, a postmenopausal woman can still produce up to 40% of the estrogen she produced during her fertile years, while her progesterone levels drop to practically zero...which would mean estrogen dominance can cause symptoms such as hot flushes and spotting well into one's 60s or 70s...I am not there yet (I will turn 49 in December), but this is of great interest to me as I want to do anything in my power to ease this transition...and avoid remaining in some "semi-menopausal" state for years to come...
A private blood test last year indicated that my oestrogen levels were well below what they should have been that's why I started the bio identical estrogen cream.
