Can anyone help with these blood results?

Following on from last month my blood results have calmed down TSH no longer wildly suppressed 1.63 and free T3 has come down from 11-7.42 and free T4 11.54)

But after a full set of blood work I've received these and I'm quite worried about them 😰 Can anyone shed any light?

Thank you

(I'm on NDT two grains)

Helena877,

What is the FT3 lab ref range?

Most common cause of high haemoglobin, haematocrit and red cell count is dehydration. Drink plenty of water 2-3 days prior to your next FBC.

High MPV: Indicates a high number of larger, younger platelets in the blood; this may be due to the bone marrow producing and releasing platelets rapidly into circulation.

Thanks Clutter

The free T3 range is 3.1-6.8

Helena877,

FT3 is still over range then. Rather odd that TSH is 1.63 when FT3 is high. You didn't take NDT before the blood draw did you?

Yes I took two grains without thinking 🙄 so know these results are skewed as a result. I have a spare home kit that I'll do on Monday.

Had a HUGE amount of tests last week. Feel like I have other things to worry about now though with these bad bloods :-(

Helena877,

Have you discussed the results with your GP?

The private Dr did these tests and I just requested a copy to be emailed. Not sure if he's seen them.

Will try and get an appointment with my GP tomorrow.

Helena877,

I meant have you discussed the results with the Dr. who ordered the tests.

It was quicker to discuss them with GP this morning. He's going to repeat them - not overly concerned as white blood cells unaffected. Says it ties in with my recent laryngitis and chesty cough.

In the meantime I'm keeping off the ferrous fumerate.

Wondered if giving blood would get rid of some of the excess iron?

Helena877,

There are no ferritin or iron results. What makes you think you have excess iron?
