Been taking 50mcg levothyroxine since diagnosis in 2011. Thanks

TSH 4.01 (0.2 - 4.2)

Free T4 13.8 (12.0 - 22.0)

Free T3 3.1 (3.1 - 6.8)

Woefully under medicated. Dose should be increased in 25mcgs steps. Testing after 6-8 weeks.

Repeat until TSH is around or just under 1, FT4 near top of range (around 28-20) and FT3 towards top, around 5.

Is there another GP you can see, this one obviously doesn't understand how to treat thyroid disease

Read and learn as much as possible. Sadly your experience is far far too common......hence 65k members on here

Many have had decades of incorrect treatment (myself included)

Thanks the GP has been reluctant to increase my dose because of the concern I would lose weight and because I sweat easily. Also get tremors in my hand when I start to write. As long as the increase doesn't make these symptoms worse the GP will increase it.
