Hi since my vitamin and mineral levels are low I am looking into testing for coeliac and iga deficiency. I know what coeliac is but what is iga deficiency and do I need to do anything specific to prepare for these tests? Thanks

For endoscopy (only way to test coeliac) you need to eat high level of gluten for 6 weeks before (called gluten challenge)

GP should confirm date of endoscopy first - not leave you hanging

Blood test of little use.

Alternatively just go gluten free without testing

if you have leaky gut then gluten will be an issue
