Hi first test results back today since April 2017 total thyroidectomy.

Serum TSH <0.05 miU/L. ( 0.40 -5.00)

Serum Free T4 level 23 . (9.00 -19.00)

Have a phone consultation tomorrow am so please could someone advise me.

Small amount of papillary cancer found on both sides of thyroid.

I'm sorry you didn't have any replies prior to your endo consultation.

Many endos want TSH suppressed <0.1 to reduce chance of cancer recurrence, in which case your TSH 0.05 is good. FT4 is over range but not too far over. Did your endo suggest you reduce dose or stick with the current dose?

Hi thank you for responding. Endo suggested staying on the same dose and retesting in months time.

Good Make sure you book an early morning blood test when TSH is highest and fast (water only) because TSH drops after eating and drinking. Take Levothyroxine after your blood test.
