So after all the hassle I had with the appointment at the Liverpool Royal (could still do with that boob lift though) I have an appointment at 1.30 with the right consultant.
I’m not holding my breath as my bloods from yesterday have come back with a tsh 0.11(0.3-6) and ft4 20.8(10-22) unsurprisingly no ft3. I’ve got my medicheck results showing I’m not converting terribly well.
Still very symptomatic so I’m going in ready for a fight! If not I’ll be starting the T3 that I have sat in my cupboard just in case.
Wish me luck 🤞

Yes, please let us know how you get on. I will be in a similar position to you in October when I go see an endo for the first time. My results seem similar to yours also. I wish you much luck.
Well the appointment went ok. A load more bloods taken hormonal, adreanal etc and I have to have a short synacthen test as my 9am cortisol was a bit low.
No reduction in levothyroxine surprisingly and on the subject of adding T3 the trust no longer allows him to prescribe it anymore however he suggested I could buy it from Turkey that he was more than happy to monitor my levels. I didn’t tell him I already had some ready to go 😉
He was very impressed by list of supplements I take and said there was nothing he could add.
I think that is the best result I could have asked for considering the latest prescribing restrictions.
I have an appointment with gastro in Monday as well as the constant nausea could be caused by gastritis which I have already been diagnosed with. As it hasn’t resolved though the need to biopsy to make sure it’s not auto immune gastritis
I’ll be starting the T3 tomorrow!
And a huge thanks to everyone for all the information I’ve been given as I wouldn’t have had a clue otherwise.
Well done Emma! So pleased it went well for you even if you didn't get T3 prescribed. I really don't expect to get it either but would be happy to have an understanding endo like yours.
Good luck with the T3 tomorrow and please keep us all posted.
Judging by posts I read on this forum I’ve been very fortunate with both my gp and this new endo. It’s a shame they don’t all have the same train of thought x
