Hi all

Hope you have all had a good weekend

I ha w my first endo appointment on Thursday pm and I’m feeling A bit scared as I can’t take Antoine with me! I’m also researching and there are a number of sites so as always I’m finding it overwhelming, I have blood test tomorrow and I will dig. Up for access to records so will post either Tuesday am or pm , but my real question is what questions should I be asking the endocrinologist?

I have read that there are all qualities of doctors and I want to be prepared, I have noted all my symptoms and treatments Via a diary

- I’ve read about optimal levels, do u need to ask to tee at that?

I’ve been diagnosed with hyper but only on beta blockers at the moment

Previously

Blood tests on 30/12/19

Called in and given beta blockers on 31/12/19

I had an ultra sound on 2/1/19- no results yet

You need thyroid antibodies tested to confirm Graves' disease

Hashimoto's frequently starts with transient hyperthyroid symptoms and blood tests.

So Graves' disease should be confirmed by antibodies testing

Ask for ultrasound scan results to be explained

Also need vitamin testing. Vitamin D, folate, B12 and ferritin. These are frequently too low and may need supplementing to improve

So you still need vitamins tested...you can do so privately via Medichecks or Blue Horizon if GP/endo won't test

Come back with new post once you get results
