Availability of thyroid glandulars

Hi, I'm new here, but have been using glandulars for some time. Like others, it's been frustrating not being able to get Nutri Thyroid. Is the problem to do with a restriction on importing anything from a bovine (beef) source? I ask this as some collagen I have been importing for several years was recently stopped at customs and sent back.

So, if thyroid products from a bovine source are the problem, what about from a porcine (pig) source?

Verity72,

I don't know what the problem with Nutri Thyroid and Nutri Adrenal is but it's not because they are bovine sourced as other bovine glandulars are imported.

Were you advised why your collagen was sent back?

I gather UK customs are becoming more strict about allowing imports of food from outside the EU, and glandulars (and collagen), being derived from animals, fall into this category.

This makes me wonder if any companies in the EU sell glandulars.

Verity72,

Really? Where have you heard that? Members continue to import NDT from outside of the EU and haven't been reporting that their bovine or porcine NDT is being returned to USA, Canada or Thailand.

Although Nutri products have been unavailable most of the year members are using Metavive and Adrenavive glandulars instead. I don't know whether these companies are based in the EU or export into the EU.

My query was about the collagen I'd imported, but when customs told me there was a problem with importing food products from outside the EU, I wondered if this was the reason Nutri Advanced was experiencing problems.

Metavive porcine products are from pigs reared in the UK.

Adrenavive doesn't list any glandular extract on the list of ingredients.

Which reply button do i use so that everyone on the thread gets an alert?

The black Reply button (top or bottom of thread) effectively responds only to the original poster.

The green Reply button responds to the people further up the chain of that leg only. I am not sure how many steps up the chain it continues to operate!

To respond to everyone on this thread, you could have used the green button below Verity72.

Or you could use the black Reply and then embed @Clutter and @Verity72 in your text (but, unlike what I have just done, select the names from the list presented - I wanted to show you the text you need to type). They then get converted into Clutter and Verity72 which specifically alerts those two individuals.

I've just checked out the ingredients and both Adrenavive and Metavive would seem to contain glandular tissue. If bovine it's sourced from New Zealand or Argentina. I wonder whether it's allowed if it comes direct from those countries, but a problem if going to the US, then shipped here. Where do you buy Adrenavive from?

Aha!Mystery solved-thank you.I was looking at Adrena Vive by Ortho Molecular

Not Adrenavive 11 & 111 by Procepts Nutrition.

I have not tried adrenal support since I used them for a few months in 2012 on the advice of Dr Peatfield,as it didn't help shift my depression/panic disorder which went on for 2 years & lifted with SAMe.
