hi, this may sound trivial to some but at the ripe old age of 73 I have never had a tummy until now! I always had a flat tum but now it's impossible to get rid of it even with strict dieting. Surely the thyroxin should take care of that. What else can I do?? Have been taking 75mcg for approx 20 yrs.
Weight won't move, feel incredibly fatigued, virtually no sleep, depressed, etc. etc. Would very much appreciate any advice. Thanks

Check out the book - Fat Around the Middle. It mentions about the adrenals and their connections and impact on the body. Do you have any up to date thyroid results with ranges ??
How are your levels of B12 - Folate - Ferritin - VitD ? Are they optimal ?
When undermedicated with thyroid hormones your adrenals can become stressed 😊
It WILL happen At 5'11'' I have always had legs up to my armpits and no waist ! Can disguise loads but would like to feel less bulky around the middle. I swim masses in the summer ( live in Crete ) - practice yoga, taking classes twice a week and walk my dog and yet still it's there. As in yoga I keep visualising a svelte me - so surely it will happen
... me too - started teaching at 65 - some 6 years ago ! No qualifications. Doing it the old way as they did in the 60's when Yeheudi Menuhin went to India and came back and shared the yoga he had experienced with his friends - and so it spread.
When I started here in Crete it was part of a skill sharing 6 week course .... photographers - artists and many other skills - organised by our local Arts Group. From there it continued and I am still sharing the yoga I have learnt from others ....
..... it is until you get the various tax bills that keep on getting bigger and bigger 600 euro a year to have a pool - think I will fill it in and grow tomatoes next year !
