Is it time to lower my dose

Hi, my results from Medichecks I take 2 x 20 Carbimazole per day.

TSH 0.116. Range 027. 420

Free thyroxine 12.5. Range. 12.0. 22.0

T4 78.0 Range 59.0 154.0

Free T3 3.61 Range 3.10 6.80

Thyroglobulin antibody 10. Range 0.00. 115.00

Thyroid peroxidase antibodies 9. 0.00. 34.00

I feel extremely lucky with my problem, but I would like titration. Should I lower my dose of carbimazole. Doc is more interested in TSH. Many thanks for your wonderful support. Val

It could take months/years for TSH to reset. Aren't you managed by an endocrinologist? FT4 is almost bottom of range and FT3 is low in range so I think titrating down to 30mcg might be appropriate.

Many thanks Clutter, I thought I could rely on you. Doc is only interest in TSH and I don't see Endo for another month. I feel I will soon be hypo and be in the same position as so many unfortunately hypo poorly people. Val

You can't rely on me because I'm not medically trained and I could be wrong. 30mg may not be enough and then FT4 and FT3 will rise. If you can get a repeat test before you see your endo.

I can get a medichecks before I see Endo. I presume (30 mg may not be enough ) you say means if T4 and. T3 they rise I will be more to hyper? . Val
