Results & T3

Hi everyone, i had my bloods done recently the Consultant couldn't print me of a copy at the time but they are sending them in the post. I did note down my results which are:

T4 19.1

T3 4

TSH <0.1

What did stand out was my Protein which they said was low at 33 but they not bothered about it.

I had a discussion regarding T3 the consultant said it may be worth me taking T3 but i will have to fund it myself as it is no longer on the NHS but i do not know where i can get if from any recommendations please ?

Many Thanks

Benjamin1,

We really need to see your lab ref ranges to see whether FT4 is top of range and where in range T3 is to advise.

Perhaps you can write a new post when you get the written results.

If members can recommend T3 sources they will send you a private message. To read a private message: support.healthunlocked.com/...

Benjamin1,

I'm not familiar with that brand. You could contact the member and ask whether s/he needed a prescription for it and, if not, where s/he sourced it.

25mcg is equivalent to 75mcg Levothyroxine. It is advisable to start with 6.25mcg to see how you tolerate it and your FT4 level (in range) will determine whether you might need to reduce Levothyroxine dose.

Thanks Clutter. It was on prescription so not sure if it can be purchased online but it is available at boots with a prescription. I doubt very much that my Dr would do a prescription for me.

I do think i have a conversion issue as my T3 results have always been in the low end of the scale so I'm willing to try anything now to feel better.

If your endo thinks you would benefit from T3 ask him to do you a private prescription

It would need to say Either 20mcg or 25mcg Liothyronine

German Thybon Henning is 20mcg x 100 tablets

Send me a pm if you neeed more info
