2 x grains (60 mg each) Armour thyroid (morning & lunch) & 40mcg T3 (split 3 times , morning, lunch, evening ) under named patient from endo instructions
Recent August results below (ordered from endo after my appointment with him in July as GP wouldn't do FT3)
His secretary rang to say no further action ?! But I've been feeling unwell for past 3/4 months , and my T4 isn't in range and my T3 isn't at the high end as it previously was (which is where I think it should be ?)
August 2017:
Serum Free T4: 9.3 (10.8- 22.7)
Serum Free T3: 5.9 (3.5-6.5)
Serum TSH -0.03 (0.35-5.50)
Ferritin: 88 (10-322)
Vitamin D : 132 (30-50)
Also I'm self injecting B12 and supplement folate (which was low)
Previous thyroid blood results: GP so slightly different ranges :
June 2017
Serum Free T4: 10.4 (10.50-24.50)
Serum Free T3: 6.1 (3.1-6.8)
Serum TSH (0.01)
Please help ! Thank you !

You can improve absorption of NDT and T3 by taking them away from food and drink. For maximum absorption NDT and T3 should be taken with water 1 hour before, or 2 hours after, food and drink, 2 hours away from other medication and supplements, and 4 hours away from calcium, iron, vitamin D supplements, magnesium and oestrogen.
FT4 is often low in range and sometimes below range when taking NDT and T3 because the high dose T3 you are taking direct means high levels of T4 aren't needed for conversion.
FT3 5.9 is 80% through range 3.5 -6.5. FT3 6.1 is 81.25% through range 3.1 - 6.8. There is no significant difference in the FT3 results and both are high in their respective ranges.
VitD is optimal.
Ferritin is optimal halfway through range but 88 is respectable and unlikely to cause symptoms. You can eat more iron rich food to increase iron and ferritin or supplement iron with 1,000mg vitamin C to aid absorption and minimise constipation.
