Report on bioavailability of various brands of Levothyroxin

I have stumbled upon this study on Various brands of Thyroxine. The goal was to test variable potency and equivalency.

I am having a good result with Sandoz brand T3. It has been a huge improvement from the Mercury brand. I am also on a 50mcg dose of Actavis brand Levothyroxine. It is a bit pointless it was removed at one point and I felt no different. I suspect the endo finds it easier to justify a combo therapy than just T3.

I was wanting to try switching to Sandoz Levo to see if I get a similar good result to my Liothyronine.

This report says Sandoz Levo was 12% more bioavailable. Very interesting!

Well I learnt very early in my thyroid journey that medication between doses can vary abd that there could be a huge variance in potency as the remit was the medication had to fall between plus and minus 10% of the stated dose as variants by mixing brand could be huge so I stuck with Goldshield as it was then but now mercury Pharma. In 2009 this was tightened up to 5% but at the end of the day you could still have symptoms if swapping brands. I'd always had my medication in 25's but then introduced 100's to lower the cost to the NHS and found 1x 100 was not the same as 4x 25 of the same brand so find something that the fillers don't upset you then stick to it. I was been given a different brand every three months but the pharmacist ask which brand I felt better on but instead I asked which brand is easiest to get and I titrated to that brand.
