Stomach problems

I have an under active Thyroid and pernicious anemia. Over the past few months I have been having more stomach problems than usual I am also very tired and down in the dumps. I'm always bloated and constipated. I'm gaining weight even though I eat a healthy diet. I have a burning feeling in my stomach like indigestion. I'm on 100mcg of Levothyroxine and have B12 injections every 3 months. Do you have any advice what I can do for my tummy? The lovely people from the pernicious anemia community said to ask on here.

i will post my recent blood results shortly

Hi - you are under-medicated since ft3 is only 7% through its range, so you need a dose increase. But it also looks like your conversion ratio from ft4 isn't great. How are your nutrients? If vit d, vit b12, folate and ferritin are not all optimal, then conversion to t3 will not be optimal either.

Beyond that, since you are positive for Hashimotos auto-immune are you on a strict gluten free diet? Food intolerances are usually a large part of any gut issues where there is hashis. Gluten is the most widespread offender but some (including myself) have more, in my case also dairy and soy. It is usually recommended to have a trial of gluten free for at least 3 months to see if there is any difference. Are you taking selenium to help conversion?

Have replied on the PA forum. As you are having injections for the PA your B12 result will be high. Do take care as I have read on several occasions where the Doc has stopped injections due to high result - madness. ...
