Your doctor won't be pleased if you do that so let's see if we can improve the situation as it is. Can you post your latest thyroid results and the ranges and any tests you have had for Vit D Folate, ferritin and B12. You have t posted your range for TSH and as the ranges differ from lab to lab I'm only guessing that you are very near to the top of the range and may be actually over in which case he should be looking at that and giving you more medication. Does your lab only test TSH? If so you really should be getting the full panel with FT4 and FT3 but many labs are refusing to do that if TSH is in range so another good reason to posting that. As TSH is on the low side then it's likely that the FT4 and FT3 are low in the range and the aim is to get both these readings in the top third in their ranges or even in the top quarter. You may also have bad conversion which would be helped if taking a form of T3 but won't solve the problem but it can helped if the other tests I mentioned are optimal not just in range. Vitamins etc are often ignored but Thyroid suffered are often low in them and I would imagine e most of us supplement to help this.
Ask at your surgery for your results with ranges of any bloods you have had done please, you could do with a full panel doing if they've not done them , can you see another doctor in your practice That might be more amenable? My surgery has started a yearly check up thing where they will do most of the basic blood tests, maybe yours does this too?
Before taking any action you definitely need a full picture of thyroid FT3 and FT4 essential as is testing for thyroid antibodies AND also vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 levels.

All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting and don't take Levo in the 24 hours prior to test, delay and take straight after.

If you have raised Thyroid antibodies this means the cause is autoimmune thyroid disease also called Hashimoto's. Hashimotos often affects the gut leading to low vitamin levels and also very many find a strictly gluten free diet helps reduce symptoms.
All this needs to be done before considering T3 or NDT
