Help Please
Are you still taking the D2 that members suggested could be a problem. Lots of people tried to help in your last thread but your response seemed mostly to be Doc knows best !
How is your B12 and Folate ? Are you anaemic ? Low levels can make you very poorly.
Hope you soon feel better.
I'm so sorry didn't mean to sound like doctor knows best. I did quit the D2. I'm just at a disadvantage, in US all thyroid drugs are prescription only so your pretty much are at doctor's mercy. I APPRECIATE ALL comments and just don't know which way to turn. I'm firing my 3rd endocrinologist and going to try a Naturopathic physician. Just VERT frustrated after 3 years I would hope to feel something better. Anemic they tesreduron levels said were normal. Folic just had lab on that one last week,no results yet.
Really thank you...I appreciate your feedback
Sorry B12 was drawn last week too
Don't forget to obtain copies of all your results so you can post them here and people will only be too happy to help with suggestions. When a Doc says * normal * - they mean in range - but it is important where in range you are - sometimes you need to be mid-range - like Ferritin and Folate and for VitD and B12 you need to be towards the top of the range.
Will look out for your results - maybe best in a new question/thread ....
Not sure it's been suggested yet... but perhaps it's the synthetic thyroid you are on that's the culprit?
Many people don't do well on Levo. NDT (natural Dessicated Thyroid is available by prescription (I believe a naturopath can subscribe there also but don't quote me) and in the states there are 2-3 different options (Armour, NP Thyroid, Tirosint) - whereas in Canada we only have one made by Erfa.
I'm on Erfa, but it's still vital to to get those nutrient levels optimal!! I found out only via this site my ferritin was in the toilet, and am now aggressively sublimenting with iron, vitC, selenium, B12, D3 with K, and Rhodeola. The point is the greatest thyroid hormone in the world can't do its job without all our nutrients being absolutely optimal as they play a massive role here. As we often have malabsorption and gut issues a great diet is simply not enough.
The following are a bunch of great sites to read with NDT info. At the bottom I've also given you a link to a clinical study that showed a whopping 48.6% (!!) of test subjects preferred NDT!

Ok hold on to your shorts. I asked for NDT she told me since I had thyroudcancer they didn't want me to,take it. Seriously..that's why I'm going to naturopathic..thank you your advise us helpful
