Hi, I am new here and would like to ask for help with my results.
When I was on 50mg Levo: TSH 2,15 ((0.35-4.94), fT4 8,4 (9-19) I felt unwell
Increase to 75mg Levo: TSH 0,36 (0.35-4.94), fT4 10,4 (9-19) TPO 233,2 (less then 5.6) I felt better
Increase to 100mg Levo (4 weeks now) plus go gluten free, private test: TSH: 0,08 (0.27-4.2), fT4 15,1 (12.5-21.2), fT3 5,64 (3.98-6.54) TPO 150 (less then 34). I feel ok.
I am thinking of going dairy free, have problem with cholesterol (triglycerides) and have tension pressure headaches for two years now. Is it connected with thyroid?
Do I have Hashimoto? (high TPO)
Recently started loosing weight (at last!!!)
Thank you very much for your help.

Thank you for your reply. I have found in some other posts about low TSH that avoiding dairy could help with TPO. I will experiment with that but as veggi there is no much left to eat
Hi jarek, I agree with greygoose. Thyroid Peroxidase is what your gland uses to make T4 and that's what is being attacked. The short video will explain. A functional medicine doctor may
determine why since they look for causes. Sometimes it is gluten but if you know you certainly have a problem with dairy....any of those can create gut problems which lead to autoimmune conditions. I think your cholesterol may go down with treatment but keep in mind that your adrenal gland needs cholesterol to make other hormones and steroids and you shouldn't lower it on the pretense that it causes heart attacks. Be more concerned about your C-reactive-protein or homocysteine in that case. Looks like you are doing well.
Jarek, if you know very little about thyroid dysfunction I hope you will immerse yourself in learning. The video above is by a functional medicine doctor who tries to distinguish the underlying cause. Go and watch his 20 Reasons for Low Thyroid on You Tube. They are all short but give a wonderful description of the various methods the body attempts to keep you on your feet. It's not always taking hormone but you may need additional support.
Now if you want to learn the importance of the adrenals you really should watch Dr. John Bergman which I am sure you will be surprisingly enlightened. It's longer than Clark's videos.
