Started having pronounced symptoms approx 8 months ago. I only take Levoxyl which has not helped. Levels are in normal range but am suffering from quite a bit of generalized swelling. No gluten. No carbs. Up 30 lbs. I can't even get 5 lbs off. I am a nurse so I am following everything to a tee. From what I have gathered, I need to had T3 added into the regimen. I sure hope that the endo is progressive. I have never been so miserable. Is there anything that I am missing?

Do you have any results you could share - with ranges ? Dose ? Are you taking any other meds that could interfere with absorption ? Gut issues ?

No carbs negatively impacts conversion. You need carbs to convert.

Gluten-free might not have any effect unless you're Hashi's.

How much Levoxyl are you taking?

Look at the Thyroid Uk site who run this forum. Lots of useful advice on there, other things to test, what not to do etc.

I'm on 88mq levoxyl. Just low carb...not no carb x 18 years. Only take generic ambien x 20 plus years. I walk 5 miles a day and light weights daily. This edema is awful. My arms and legs feel like bricks. My facial features don't look like me! TIA
