Latest bloods advice pls before I see my Endo tomorrow

TSH suppressed

FT4 6.7 (20-18.7)

FT3 4.2 (3.5-6.5)

Unfortunately I took my T3 the day before my blood test which was over 24 hours as my fasting blood test was at 11.20 so I didn't take any T3 12 hours before. His much would this affect my blood test?

My previous test was around 19 for FT4 and I was over on FT3 which was 7.8 although I felt good - I was on 50mcg levo and 25mcg T3.

So I reduced my T3 down to 18.75 but didn't feel as good. So decided 2 weeks ago to just cut out the levo and take 25mcg of T3.

I've been in a Keto diet which my stomach feels so much better on and I've joined the gym. I've felt so proud as 6 months ago I thought I'd never get here.

So now I'm stressing as I haven't seen my Endo since January when he agreed to supervise me on T3. I've been having blood tests every 4 weeks but obviously played around with it recently.

My thyroid keeps swelling up and I get tablets and hard food stuck and concerned about a module so want to see my Endo for another scan to check the progress.

Should I reintroduce levo? Can I manage on T3 alone? Will my Endo criticise me for cutting out Levo?

I didn't think it was beneficial and T3 has helped me but what with the keto diet and introducing exercise I'm not quite sure if it's my medication or I'm trying to do too much.

Btw I have also been diagnosed with lupus in march so on hydroxychloroquine and gabapentin. But my tremors have improved greatly and my inflammation and joint swelling & pain reduced!

8-12 hours between last dose and thyroid blood draw is sufficient. Most people on T3 only need FT3 between 5 - 6.5 to feel well so there was scope to increase dose to 25mcg. You should retest 6-8 weeks after increasing to 25mcg. FT4 is low because you are taking T3 only.
