high t4

hi, ive not had a diagnosis if thyroid prob as yet, but i noticed my t4 has been rising since last year it went from 16 to 23.3, which is just above range ( my tsh is 1.0 and t3 4.85 which is within normal range) Could i have probs alone with high T4 ,

Keep an eye on it. You may be becoming hyperthyroid. Has your TSH been dropping?

hi yes it was 2 last year now 1.0 , am so tired have weight loss thinning hair, anxiey but gps not picking up on t4 rising , and they dont like me telling them , i will get tested again next month and go to a diff gp x

Jazzanne,

It's likely you are becoming hyperthyroid but it is a grey area until TSH is <0.1 or FT4 goes higher.

Have you had your Hashi's antibodies tested? If not, it might be a good idea.

is that the same as thyroid antibodies test x

I'm talking about TPO antibodies and Tg antibodies. Just saying 'thyroid antibodies' isn't specific enough, because there are quite a few different ones.
