It depends on your needs croc345

Some of add some T3 to Levo if our conversion is poor. There are a few people who take T3 only because Levo doesn't work at all for them.

As requested in your previous thread, please post your FT4 and FT3 results done at the same time and members will be happy to comment.

Some people take T3 alone, some people with T4. Thyroid UK always suggests that people are monitored by a healthcare practitioner.

Were you previously prescribed T4?

Please can you post something of your thyroid journey so far including your latest thyroid blood test results, including the reference ranges. This will help people to offer informed information and support. Thanks.

Research has shown that a combination of T3/T4 works better for many people than levo only.

It is trial and error to find out what suits you. When I took the combination it was a morning dose when I got up with one glass of water. I find one daily dose easier than splitting daily dose as our stomach has to be empty so that food doesn't interfere with the uptake.

If someone takes a T3 only dose (I do now) it is a one time a day dose early a.m. Some prefer bedtime dose.

If sometone takes T4 most take it when they get up with one glass of water and some prefer it at bedtime but their stomach has to be empty.
