organic chicken no soy, corn, wheat feed

Does anybody know of an organic farm that does not feed their chicken soy, corn or wheat in the UK?

There is a lot of soy-free and corn-free organic poultry food available. You could contact the organic poultry farms and ask them whether they are also wheat-free.

Thank you for your enquiry.

The chickens receive supplemental feed which accounts for around 40% of their calorie intake, this is a mix of barley, wheat, corn and soy (all non GMO). Birds have evolved to eat grain, it is a natural part of their diet, and depriving them of it would be inhumane.

If you think this would not be good for you, it would be best to avoid chicken. However, I am not aware that eating free range chicken which has eaten wheat and other grains contains any gluten.

I have a problem. I am on the AIP diet and recent Cyrex test showe that I have antibodies to fish Parvalbumin so I cannot eat fish for the time being.

007999 perfect reason to keep your own chickens! Wondering whether the Soil Association may be able to help? Or a small holding that doesn't keep them in industrial quantities?

Chickens are very fussy eaters, mine will only eat corn, sunflower hearts and mealworms. As the reply above says they are designed to eat grains.
