I started off with Thorne Basic B, now prefer Metabolics B Complex which you can get as capsules or liquid.

Looks like a good company, and no fillers, yay! Do you use liquid or capsules?

I started with the liquid but the taste took some getting used to so I'm now on the capsules.

To get the same dose as 1 x Thorne, you need 2 x Metabolics but they are smaller capsules so easier to swallow. Also, you have the option of the lower dose if that suits. Last time I looked, the Metabolics worked out a bit cheaper than Thorne when comparing the number of servings in a pack using the same dose.

Also, the Metabolics hasn't made my urine as bright yellow as the Thorne did although when taking the same dose the amount of B2 (Riboflavin) is the same.

I'm very happy with the Metabolics.

Is it this one?

Is there any reason for there to be magnesium added?

Yes, that's the one. No idea why magnesium citrate is added to the capsules, it doesn't appear to be in the liquid version.

I think it's used as a filler instead of nasties like mag stearate, titanium dioxide, talc, sawdust etc.

Yes, that did cross my mind after I'd replied. Magnesium citrate as a filler is much more acceptable than magnesium stearate, especially as that is the form of magnesium I already take :)

Ever thought of sunshine ? Sunblock does not allow formation of vit b. Start 10 min a day and build up. We are made of sunshine😁

I think you are mixing Vit B up with Vit D.

Vit D is the sunshine vitamin. Exposing bare skin to the UVB rays of the sun helps our body make Vit D.

B vits come from food - protein, dairy, leafy greens, beans and peas and a deficiency can be supplemented with B Complex.

Thank you for pointing this out. Between my swollen eyelids (hay fever) and migraine I'm not surprised that I have nothing between my ears today. 🤗
