matty220 If your folate isn't optimal and needs a boost, go for the Basic B as it contains 400mcg, the Stress B only contains 200mcg. The B12 in Basic B is 400mcg and in Stress B it's 100mcg. It's all about how much of the individual B vits you need.
Hey matty220 do you still take the 5000mcg jarrows methylcobalamin sublingual alongside the thorne b complex, im interested as you replied to one of my posts saying you did and noticed after a few months that everything was so much better
Yes I do although I'm nearly at the end of 2 bottles of the 5000mg, 4 months worth. I'll then start on 1000mg as a maintenance dose. I can't believe what a difference it made! Last week and the week before I went and did 3 hours modern jive after working all day!! 6 months ago I would have wilted just at the thought of it. BTW I'm 66 years old so it's never too late to take control
That's fantastic news, I'm only taking the 5000mcg methylcobalamin and people have said that to feel the full benefit i should take a b complex with it so at the end of the month (payday) i shall be doing that, I'm only working part time at the moment because I'm so tired all the time and i want to go back to full time and enjoy my life but thank you for being the light at the end of the tunnel
I hope it works for you as it did for me. I think it's the folate in the B complex that helps you body absorb the B12. You are taking the B12 sublingually aren't you? Then it bypasses the stomach where there may be issues!
Yeah I'm taking it sublingually, letting it dissolve in my mouth, fingers crossed it does because i have no problem absorbing it as I've gone from a level of 179 to 900 in a few months but still have symptoms so maybe I'm not absorbing it to my potential
The range is 190-800 i think, I have no faith in my gp anymore, i have nerve damage in arm my from having low b12 (i know this because i haven't had this problem before) the gp said it's because I'm on my laptop but i said to them I'm on my laptop once in a blue moon now whereas before i was diagnosed i was on it from anywhere between 6-15 hours a day and had no problems, they didn't offer me injections they gave me 50mcg cyanocobalamin to take twice a day
Tell me about it, i was diagnosed for a year with it being depression before a new gp tested my b12 and thyroid, will do, I'm feeling somewhat optomistic as you've had such success
