IS IT TRUE that NDT often requires a larger dose? This is potentially great news. Especially after waking up this morning and loudly proclaiming and crying and so on like AN EMOTIONAL TORNADO.
EIGHT days ago I switched from levo (75) and T3 (10) to 1 and a half grains of Armour Thyroid. I don't know what's happening to me. I can't even begin to describe the symptoms. I feel like my mind and my body are two separate vehicles designed to tear me apart. I also have likely started a second period for the month. Irrationality is winning.
WHAT DO I DO?!

I also have a BIG lump under my right arm. Swollenness in my skull. Blurry eyes. Appetite low. SO TIRED > Want to yell at everyone - why isn't the world working or spinning the right way.
See your GP about the lump as soon as possible. Lumps should not be ignored and it is very unlikely to be anything to do with NDT.
1.5 grains is roughly equivalent to the 75mcg T4 and 10mcg T3 you were taking so I doubt you are under medicated. You could try persisting with NDT for a few more days but if symptoms don't improve go back to T4+T3 and try NDT again in a few weeks. Not all brands of NDT suit everyone so you may need to try alternative brands. Some people are not suited to NDT at all and switch back to synthetic T4 and T3.
I don't think it is true that NDT needs to be a higher dose than the equivalent dose of synthetics. I do think people up their NDT dose because they are usually self medicating and can do so.
He said if it was a swelling that came and went it wasn't serious. I had a mammogram a year ago and it turned up nothing. I suppose he thought it was okay.
I also asked him to tell me what he thought the bumps on my head were (I have no better way to explain this - like the lump under my arm, both sides swell behind my ears on a daily basis and are flat when I wake up in the morning). He said it might be lymph nodes but that my blood tests (from a year ago) were fine.
