Hot not cold, breathless and weak.....

Hello

Taken a nose dive and more breathless especially today (scary). I have just been given a new job so unsure about that now... scary, I was actually good a week ago, why does this happen?

I don't feel cold usually warm and even get hot flashes ( what is this please as it's not flushes!) I've only had the cold death feeling 3 times in three years?? Is this unusual?

Had bloods taken privately I hoped to know results before seeing doc in the morning but think I will just go and get some levo IF POSSIBLE as I will need it won't ? I will go in with the theme 'that you told me stop taking it when I had swimmy head but if you don't mind I will have another go' I may say, that if by any chance I am needing t3 may I come back to you? (I am new at the practice and doctor )

Any thoughts pls?

I will post on my results then thankyou for being here!

I have started gluten free and most caffeine and dairy, are there any side effects known with this?

Px

Please take it easy.

If you get any more breathless then you must get someone to take you to A&E immediately.

How breathless is breathless? I'm scared now as don't know what to do?

I can walk upstairs and may feel it at the top

I resting all today

What will help the breathless? Will levo alone do this, the gp I saw the other week said it was anxiety

Do others that aren't usually breathless sometimes get a bit breathless

As a symptom please?

Low iron can cause breathlessness.

O yes!. I'm awaiting results from Healthcheck

Am I right in thinking it should be 80 do you know?

Depends on range and what iron measure is being tested. Post your results and the ranges in a new thread once you get them.

Also whether the breathlessness is caused by anxiety or not, if you are struggling to breath when walking on the flat get yourself to A&E to get checked out. They can test your iron levels quickly if needed.

Unfortunately some people do get breathless after walking up stairs so it's not of immediate concern unless it they are collapsing.

GPs often get things wrong as they are generalists not specialists.

I get breathless and I'm hypothyroid. For me I think it's caused by low B12. Many others have complained of breathlessness on these forums.

Good morning , sorry to be OTT I think I had a long anxiety attack!

This is what concerns me deep down, is it anxiety that is at the crux and if you get rid of all this anx negativity on another level, will you sort your body out or rather will the body sort itself out? - ref Isabella Weltz on u tube

I do believe I did this in much earlier years, I had psiriosis then pre eclampsia and for a year was convinced I had a medical problem and wouldn't believe doctors I was ok! But somehow I managed to find the logic that, yes I'm here and ok a year later so maybe I can now believe it 😊 Two years later all my psiriosis vanished one winter time and I was fine again for 20 years when I had traumas and it came back

After this ramble I'm trying to ask is our personality type the crux? xx

(Off to doc now to ask for some levo anyway)

Where you treated properly by doctors when ill with psiriosis?

One of the issues on this forum people have had dodgy test results and/or signs and symptoms of illness including thyroid conditions for years but where ignored by doctors.

So when a doctor tells them they are OK and their test results are "normal" because they still have signs and symptoms such as breathlessness, hair loss, heavy periods and fatigue they don't believe them.

Haha. Those years ago I just kept going and ate sensibly and looked after 3 under age 6, I didn't have any medical intervention of course creams were offered but declined

I discovered when 15 my mum was being tested for thyroid so I think here it is genetic, bless I sensed how she felt as I was quite linked, and in later years I feel she had this too but took the stoic route, no meds, she was given digosrin heart drug at age 79 when she complained of palpitations and no energy. So I do wonder ? She lived to 95 when she broke hip and was walking a mike a day at 90

When I get breathless maybe I should say I notice I'm breathing heavier? There is possibly a difference

Saw doc this morning she was great, ( different one ) listened and didn't judge, and sending for lung x ray to be thorough but thinks it's fine, anxiety has been over too and asked me what I'm worrying about, I could feel the tension drain from me so I was as actually in a state, Said my level tsh at 5 May or may not be ok for me as she has much older ladies at tsh 8 who have no symptoms but agreed I had, Said to redo bloods in a month and gave me levo, said to try half dose to start as I had swimmy head driving before, or take one every two days, felt so much better come out so yes, some of it is my anx for sure

Will post on my private bloods soon, thankyou all so much

How long do they usually take

I do wonder though Why don't I feel cold but get hot flashes and generally nice and warm?
