Hi

I have not been feeling very well just lately, think I have a virus which I cannot fight off.

Also still have lots of hypo. symptoms so I have ordered the Thyroid 6 test from Medichecks. to see if my levels are out.

I was previously taking levo. but changed to NDT just over a year ago. I am taking 1.5 grains W.P. Thyroid.

As I just want to see what my levels are doing and I am not showing them to my G.P. do I still follow the same rules as if G.P. had ordered the tests. i.e. fast for 12 hours and do not take NDT the night before blood taken.

Thank you, but I really wanted to see if my levels are out as I have had the virus for over two months, then a couple of weeks ago it either came out a lot worse or I got another one of top it. I wondered if my levels are out then this could be reason I cannot fight the virus.

You order your tests from Medichecks, Blue Horizon or whoever online. You pay your money and they send the tests kit out. They ask you why you want them but that is as far as it goes.

They did say their Doctor would report on it.

Yes you can ask their GP to report on it if you want. Though the people on this forum tend to be more knowledgeable.

Most doctors seem to have no knowledge about thyroid blood test results.
