Saw endo today after self medicating for the last 3 months. He is pleased with my progress and will again ask GP to prescribe T3. Not holding my breath after having the last prescription written by GP but snatched back by a senior GP (ongoing battle with that one)
2nd Endo Visit - T3 Prescription to be Requeste... - Thyroid UK
2nd Endo Visit - T3 Prescription to be Requested Again!
Stick it in your cleavage and run like hell if you get another script smudger1
smudger1 I would have thought, taking into account the pecking order, that if an endo asks a GP to prescribe a certain item then the GP should do so.
But, maybe I live in Cloud Cuckoo Land!
Good luck, I do hope you get your prescription.
Maybe you should remind the GP that the endo is the thyroid expert!
Why didn't the endocrinologist give you a prescription?
Seadidesusie first time round the GP did give me a prescription but when the chemist referred it back to the surgery for a change (20mg to be split rather than 10mg tablets which need special order) a 'senior' GP snatched the prescription back and would not give it to me, the only explanation I received from him was via chemist shop assistant saying Glos NHS don't prescribe T3. This is a lie as I discovered on open prescribe website. Haven't finished with him yet!!! 😡
Copy letter today from endo to GP requesting they prescribe T3. Fingers crossed, this time, I will get my meds!! He mention that I have been buying T3 privately, both he and GP are aware I have been buying from Greece and both are OK about it. Showed him the prices, he was shocked!
Will leave till mid week then go to the surgery and see if there is a prescription for me, not getting excited after the last fiasco!
