Latest blood results opinions please

Specialist last seen 3 weeks ago wanted to monitor me

Feel terrible and had bloods done under gp today (specialist said I was sub clinical at tsh level 7.6 that was 3 weeks ago

So today's results are

Tsh 8.34 range is 0.30-500

Vit d (serum 25) 26nmol

Range is 75.00-150

Low serum folate 3.6 ug/l

Range is anything above 5.40

I'm loosing weight and this week I'm feel soooooo poorly today is the first day I've not slept all day

Any ideas?? Back at specialist on Monday

TSH is worse confirming primary hypothyroidism so your doctor shouldn't delay prescribing thyroid replacement.

VitD is insufficient. 75-200nmol/L is replete and most people are comfortable around 100. I would supplement 10,000iu D3 for 6 weeks and then reduce to 5,000iu and retest in July. If you are prescribed Levothyroxine or NDT you must take it 4 hours away from vitD.

Folate is deficient. My GP prescribed 5mg folic acid for a couple of months to correct folate deficiency.

Was B12 tested?

Hi clutter

So specialist has put me on all supplements due to levels being low

And has also started me on 25mg levothyroxin, with my tsh levels being at 8.34 he said I was borderline hypo

I'm not going back private now as it's costing to much and will ask gp to refer me to an nhs endo

Is 25mg enough and will it take a while to work
