Yes it increases the chances of suffering all types of musculoskeletal problems. I have read it affects the tendons making them too relaxed. Arthritis is another autoimmune disorder and if you have autoimmune hypothyroidism it makes you more prone to other ones. My first symptom was early onset arthritis at 23 and then Achilles tendinitis it was only years later I got classic hypothyroid symptoms but those two often mark the start of it.
