Certainly can - I was almost wheelchair bound with my back and muscle issues - couldnt even turn over in bed without screaming in pain.....................

Yes it increases the chances of suffering all types of musculoskeletal problems. I have read it affects the tendons making them too relaxed. Arthritis is another autoimmune disorder and if you have autoimmune hypothyroidism it makes you more prone to other ones. My first symptom was early onset arthritis at 23 and then Achilles tendinitis it was only years later I got classic hypothyroid symptoms but those two often mark the start of it.

I am getting random aches and pains in my back, legs, knees.....I wonder if that could be my thyroid, I have an underactive thyroid. Sick of being tired and never quite up to par. Are others like this?
