Hi, I have an endocrinologist appointment tomorrow morning. I was hoping to ask him if he can prescribe NDT for me (I am willing to pay for it). This would enable me to source it in the UK which would be easier - at least in the beginning.
I am not on any medication right now but need to find out which would be best for me. (T4 only makes me feel awful!)
My question is... I have looked at the different brands of NDT and checked out the fillers. I am intolerant to gluten, corn, dairy (could probably tolerate a little lactose) etc. and wondering which would be the best brand to try first? Nature Throid or NP Thyroid look like the best options - is anyone able to advise me? I can't find anywhere that states whether NP is gluten free. (WP Thyroid looks good but I am allergic to coconut oil so will have to give that one a miss.)
Hope someone can help me - thanks in advance!

The tablets contain both tetraiodothyronine sodium (T4 levothyroxine) and triiodothyronine sodium (T3 liothyronine) providing 38 mcg levothyroxine (T4) and 9 mcg liothyronine (T3) per grain of thyroid (or per 60 mg of the labeled amount of thyroid). The inactive ingredients are calcium stearate, dextrose (agglomerated) and mineral oil.
Hopefully this means that this is ALL that is in them!
