Armour or NP-thyroid

I am willing to try one of the two in the absence of another ndt on the market. For a start, I would like to buy only 1 grain(due to the price), slowly decrease my levothyroxine and add ndt. I read about np that he had some recalls. ...What do you think of the two which is the best?

I wonder if 1 grain Armour /NP pill can be split into two...

On the synthetic I don't feel good at all, I'm thyroid less.

Hello Adin ;

If you have a NHS prescription I don't know, but think Armour is generally prescribed.

If you have a private prescription there are pharmacies listed on the Thyroid UK website

and believe you may have a choice of different brands of NDT.

If you are self medicating I believe at this point in time, sourcing any brand of NDT is not as easy as it once was due to certain brands being recalled and others brands having experienced delays in sourcing the natural base product.

I have access to private prescription, my doctor agrees to write me ndt and add levo based on ft4. I'm not living in UK. For the moment he only writes me 1 grain. I wonder if the tablet of Armour or NP can be split.

np thyroid had a small recall but it wasn't removed from the market. I have found it to be consistent, potent, and has less fillers than Armour.

Thank you, I wonder if the tablet of NP can be split.

Thank you. I wonder what dose would I need to replace my synthetic(125levo +20T3) ?

Waw thanks you for the response, you're right and I thought I'd add levo for a 5: 1 ratio. The problem i noticed is that ft4 decreases on ndt even if i add levo(Thiroyd -Thai). I wonder how it would be better, to split the ndt or all in one in the morning?

That's what I thought too, ndt split (in two) and levo at night. I'll order NP although it is very expensive. You can tell me a credible cheaper NP source (with or without Rx)?

On syntetics(125Tirosint + 20T3 split) my values were TSH 0,068(0,3-4,6); ft4 16(12-22) and ft3 4,4(3,2-6,8). On 3,5 grain ndt-Thai Thiroyd -TSH 0,4; ft4 -11,8; ft3- 5,4, but I didn't feel well, i realized i needed a ft4 above... Anyway, the Thai ndt's was weaker than Armour or NP.

I understand but my problem is that the more synthetic I add(especially t3), the fatter I get, my anxiety increases, my ankles hurt, etc. On ndt is opposite, I lose weight, I feel lighter, my mind is clear, I sleep well...but I need some levo I think.
