If possible, could someone please advice me on where I can purchase T3 safely. I'm at my breaking point with my doctor as he won't increase my levo as I'm within the "normal" range even though I have substantial hair loss, low energy, weight gain, well 99% of symptoms really. He won't even give me my results so I know what my levels are. I'm on 150mg of levo and was hoping the introduction of some T3 might help my symptoms as it has done for so many others.
With thanks in advance.

You shouldn't add T3 to your current 150mcg Levothyroxine dose without knowing what your thyroid levels, including FT3, are. The Data Protection Act entitles patients to their test results. Write to your practice manager or senior GP and make a subject access request for your recent results. There should be no charge for results requested within 40 days of testing other than a nominal £1-£2 charge to cover the cost of printer ink and paper.
WiddyWooo Your GP cannot refuse to give you your results. You are legally entitled to them under the Data Protection Act 1998. Politely mention this to the surgery staff and say you're sure no-one there would want to break the law - and smile! If they still refuse, come back and ask for information on how to make a Subject Access Request.
You can, of course, always do a full thyroid and vitamin/mineral test privately with a fingerprick blood spot test from Blue Horizon, which will give you more information than the tests your GP has done
