Could someone please help me to interpret results for B12? I take 50mcg Levo for hypothyroid diagnosed in 2012. Symptoms are breathlessness, sighs, depression, fatigue, muscle weakness, insomnia, constipation, heavy periods, feeling cold. Thank you

Bex4 B12 level of 196 is way too low. Anything under 500 can cause neurological problems.

Was folate tested as well? They go hand in hand. If not already tested ask your GP to do it. I think you also should be tested for Pernicious Anaemia, ask about that too.

You could pop over to the Pernicious Anaemia Society forum here on Health Unlocked for further advice on your B12 level. Don't take any supplements until you've had their advice and possible test for PA.

Thanks I have results for everything else. Not sure whether to put results for the others in here or previous post.

Are you sure you're on adequate meds for your thyroid? That is quite a low dose and you have a lot of hypo symptoms.

Have a look at the B12 deficiency site: b12d.org I got a lot of good info there.
